Chocobananos (v)

A family campsite favourite – this fun desert will get all of the family involved – customise with your favourite toppings for a treat everyone will love.
This easy and quick recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients
- 4 bananas
- 150ml double cream
- 215g dark chocolate
- Salt
Suggested toppings
Here is what we used - but let your imagination run wild - top with your favourite sweet toppings!
- 50g crushed pretzels
- 50g desiccated coconut
- 50g 100s & 1000s
Equipment
- Detour Stainless Steel Collapsible 1.8L Pouring Pot
- Detour Stainless Steel Cutlery Set
- Detour Stainless Steel Kitchen Knife
- Detour Collapsible Bowl

Method
- Peel your bananas and chop in half.
- Add the cream to a saucepan with a pinch of salt. Heat on a medium flame until it nearly begins to simmer.
- Turn the heat off and add your chocolate. Leave to sit in the cream for a couple of minutes before mixing until smooth, melted and incorporated.
- Dip the pieces of banana into the chocolate and dip into toppings of your choosing.
- Eat straight away or leave to set. If the chocolate begins to set and solidify, reignite the heat and stir until the right consistency again before turning the heat off.
