Cycle for the Seas

We are proud to be supporting a unique trip around the Coast of Scotland - our friends Tom and Santiago are cycling the whole coastline to raise money and awareness for sea conservation.

Equipped with 2 vintage road bikes and some Sea to Summit Gear - the duo set off on their 1000 mile trip in late May!

Here is the first update from Tom and Santiago!

We have now set off on our adventure around the coast of Scotland raising funds for marine conservation and awareness for the degradation that our coastlines are currently facing. We have been cycling over 100km a day on our vintage bikes, through  Dundee, Aberdeen, Fraserburgh, Spey Bay and now Inverness! I am writing this blog from Inverness on day 5 of our trip with over 500km cycled so far.

Tomorrow we embark on a 120km cycle to Helmsdale then further north! 

So far we have raised over £1,200 for our chosen charities and would love your support!

Our adventure so far hasn’t been easy with headwinds and many hills in our way, however we have been able to maintain good spirit and good sleep thanks to Sea to Summit! 

We have seen a lot of issues on our way so far from recycling plants next to the ocean and waste water plants almost verging on our waters. We both think it’s about time everyone gets to hear what is happening to our waters and how vital it is to our lives. Without this precious scape we are none existent and unfortunately we have become our own demise when it comes to the way we protect our oceans. 

In our next blog we will meet with our charities and will share what we have learned and will share their messages to the world.
