Description

Whether hung from a tree or secured at camp, the Pack Tap provides easy access to bulk water. Multiple durable lash points allow it to be hung, laid flat or attached almost anywhere.

The internal Mylar bladder ensures water stays taste-free, while the leak-proof, compact spigot is easy to operate with one hand and stays clean under a protective cap when not in use.

Lightweight, flexible and compact when rolled up empty, the Pack Tap's tough outer fabric is now made from RCS-certified recycled and bluesign APPROVED 300D polyester using non-PFAS chemistry.

Two sizes of replacement bladder are available which cover all three sizes of the Pack Tap. Removing an existing bladder and installing the new one can be done quickly and simply, extending the life of the product.

Note: The Pack Tap is not safe to use with hot water. It is meant for room temperature water only.

Does the job well.

"I was a bit on the fence about getting the pack tap. I brought the 4 litre and have no regrets. It fits my Osprey Atmos 65 perfectly and by not having a hard bottle, it packs super small after use. Very happy."

Perfect for what I need

"Use this on a kayak for multi day camping adventures, perfect! The first time it was difficult to get the cap off like many other people state, but I held it under the steam from a kettle briefly, and it came off no problem. It comes off with ease now and is still secure."

Spoiled by the filler design

"Bought one of these (the 4L size) for a motorcycle trip, so its compact size for packing was very useful, Unfortunately it was almost impossible to fill as the cap wouldn't come off without a crazy amount of nail breaking effort. I sent it back and STS replaced it. The replacement one was exactly the same. I used it as I had no choice but it needed pliers to pull the cap off. Never used since"

Difficult to open

"Not used this yet and mostly because I’ve found I can’t open it very easily! Found it really difficult to open without using a knife of something similar so not really ideal. Had I not removed the labels I’d have sent it back and tbh I’ll prob never use it."

Love This Thing

"I got one of these about 6 years ago and since then it has been my backpacking shower and water supply over thousands of trail miles. I was concerned about the durability (I fold it up and stuff it in my pack between stops) but I've not had a single issue. It's one of those things I only bought because it was essentially free but it has become a favorite tool. I know this says "room temperature water only" but I like to fill it and leave it with the black side facing the sun while I'm out hiking. When I get back the water inside is pleasantly warm for showering. I really wish they made a cap with a nipple to attach a hydration hose or a small spray nozzle. This would definitely make it perfect and earn that elusive fifth star. My typical use is while backpacking. I will filter at each destination. Having 10L means that I can wash my hands and face, cook dinner, make breakfast and morning coffee, and fill my two 1L Nalgene bottles twice before setting off the next morning without having to constantly go back and forth to my water source to filter. I only filter once a day. I've also left it partially full and clipped it to my pack for those really long hauls between water sources. My only gripe is that in order to fill it you have to pry the cap off which can take some effort, especially when it's cold and your fingers aren't working their best. It's taken a while but I've finally mastered getting the cap back on without spilling half the water I just spent 20 minutes filtering. That, and the aforementioned lack of optional caps. In the end, it's an extremely light (packed weight of around 160g) and does everything it is supposed to. It's very nice having such an abundance of filtered water."

Worked great!

"While backpacking on Cumberland island, my water source was further away than I’d prefer. By collecting water once and pouring my full clean water bottles into this, I could stockpile more water to avoid having to make several trips to fill my filter bag! I just hung it from a tree next to camp and used it throughout the weekend with no issues."

Best water storage for SUP!

"I do a lot of multi-day river trips on my SUP, and this bladder is the best way I’ve found to transport my water. It can be strapped to the board, and I put the tap at the edge so I can easily use it without ever unstrapping it. The low profile and secure corner loops mean it’s never sloshing around or knocking me off-balance! It’s also incredibly easy to use and to clean. I’m on year three and haven’t had a single problem! Thanks for a great product."

Seatosummit 4l water bladder

"Just tried this out. I am pleasantly astounded by the water having zero added flavour from the mylar or whatever it is. Love the feel, shape and functionality. I would buy again."

rocdok (5/5)

Love this water bladder. It

"Love this water bladder. It holds enough water for a day of riding in the heat and hasn't burst in the bottom of my pannier bag even though I dropped the bike on it once or twice."

Andrew M. (5/5)

Great water holder!

"Excellent water storage. Does not have any aftertaste and can roll up for storage when empty. Very happy with it."
