Frequently Asked questions

Different from other entry level self-inflating sleeping pads?

Absolutely! The Delta Core technology comes straight from the top-of-the range Sea to Summit Self-Inflating pads.

Insulated well to protect me from the cold air and ground temps?

Yes. The Camp Plus pad has a tested R-Value of 4.3 – suitable for use in all but the coldest weather.

Small enough when packed to use for backpacking?

Probably not. The regular size is almost two pounds which is above what most backpackers would want to carry. However, for a short hike into a campsite, this pad would be fine.

"Very pleased with my sleeping mat"

Been wild camping for about

"Been wild camping for about 5 years, tried numerous sleep systems and this has by far help provide the best nights sleep in the wild I’ve ever had. It only got down to 1 degree so need to try it colder conditions but it felt like I had a radiator underneath me. Great support sleeping on my side to. TBH I did also have a 1R extra mat inside my sleeping bag, closed cell foam mat underneath it all and Bivvy bag but again, best night sleep I’ve ever had in the outdoors and this unit was key to that… Total thumbs up for now…"

Great Night Sleep

"I have now bought the regular and long versions. My husband was jealous when I got mine, so I had to get him his own. It might be a bit heavy for a longer trip. The added comfort may be worth it though, especially for a larger guy like me."

Andrew F. (5/5)

Great for army

"Used this for 3 months on many surfaces. Comfortable side sleep, quiet and warm. The shape and color is similar to the issued mat however I wish the rectangular mats were only 23" wide so they better fit army cots and the issued carry case. I don't like that you have to fold it lengthwise before rolling to fit the retail case. It's faster and better packing on a rucksack if you just roll it."

Great even in cold weather

"We took these on a weekend camping trip and were really pleased. They inflated quickly and easily and stayed inflated both full days and nights. They were really comfortable too!"

Best sleeping pad ever, and

"Best sleeping pad ever, and I've been through many over the years."

You get quite a bit for the price

"As one of Sea to Summit's cheapest models it is quite feature rich and comfortable. The compression stuff sack is impressive and I love the full width on it. I don't think I would purchase a "self inflating" mat again as packing it takes several extra steps and the compression sack is needed to minimize the extra bulk. I will however buy another Sea to Summit sleeping mat!"
